Reverse Engineer
Part evaluation, measurement strategy, design intent recovery
12+ yearsMechonus is a Shenzhen-based reverse engineering and precision manufacturing company. We recover engineering intent from worn or undocumented parts and deliver manufacturable CAD and verified replacement components — so critical equipment keeps running when OEM support ends.
Mechonus Precision Technology Co., Ltd. is a Shenzhen-based technical service company with reverse engineering at its core. Headquartered in Shenzhen, we serve industrial clients worldwide. Through 3D scanning, parametric CAD reconstruction, and CNC machining, we help industrial equipment remain productive after OEM support ends.
Our clients span hydro power, mining, automotive, semiconductor, and industrial MRO sectors. They share one common problem: the equipment is still running, but critical parts are no longer available.
What we do is specific: we receive the physical part, understand its function, recover its design intent, deliver a manufacturable parametric CAD model, and coordinate subsequent production and inspection. We don't just provide scanning or machining — we take responsibility for the final deliverable, from sample analysis and CAD reconstruction to production planning, verification, and international project communication, all led by our engineering team.
Our value is not measured by how many machines we own. It is measured by our ability to solve problems where there are no drawings, no spare parts, and no OEM support.
Engineering-led, fully accountable. Based in Shenzhen, serving global industry.

Our engineering team consists of four core roles covering the complete chain from technical evaluation to delivery coordination:

Part evaluation, measurement strategy, design intent recovery
12+ years
02Lai Hongfei
CAM strategy, fixturing, DFM, and process control
10+ years
03Zheng Jiachuan
Benchmark planning, CMM programming, FAI, and reporting
8+ years
04Liu Tianfu
Technical communication, requirements, and delivery coordination
8+ yearsEvery project is directly managed by this team from start to finish, ensuring engineering judgment is not lost and communication does not break down.
We have complete precision machining and inspection capabilities covering all reverse engineering project requirements:
3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining centers; turning, mill-turn, wire EDM, sinker EDM, grinding, and secondary finishing; SLA 3D printing, vacuum casting, rapid tooling, and injection molding. The most suitable process path is selected based on the part's geometry, material properties, and acceptance criteria.
Industrial-grade blue light 3D scanning (0.01mm-level accuracy), CMM, optical inspection, and calibrated manual inspection. Critical characteristics are inspected against an approved definition, with traceable records generated.
Our quality management system conforms to ISO 9001 and holds certifications including ISO 13485 (medical devices), IATF 16949 (automotive), and ISO 14001 (environmental management), enabling us to meet compliance requirements across medical, automotive, and precision industrial sectors. Specific certification documents and inspection reports can be provided upon request.
We are located in Shenzhen, home to one of the world's densest precision manufacturing ecosystems. Resources required for each project are matched and confirmed according to geometry, material properties, and acceptance criteria, ensuring controllable delivery quality.

Mechonus reverse engineering services cover the following five industries, each with corresponding solutions and project experience:
Reverse engineering of discontinued parts for offshore platforms, hydro power stations, and energy facilities, addressing corrosion, fatigue, and high-temperature operating conditions.
High-precision replication of discontinued components for medical equipment manufacturers and service providers, meeting ISO 13485 compliance requirements.
Parametric reconstruction of discontinued parts for classic car restoration, racing modifications, and commercial vehicle repair, from individual components to assembly-level replication.
Reverse engineering of critical components for mining, construction, and agricultural equipment, reducing downtime and restoring equipment operation.
Manufacturable data for discontinued parts in factory automation, semiconductor equipment, and robotic systems, eliminating obsolescence issues.
